[YEP-DC] Resume Workshop Volunteers Needed November 14

The Public Leadership Education Network (www.plen.org) is seeking a handful of resume workshop volunteers who will give advice to the students attending our Women, Law & Legal Advocacy Seminar.

Resume Workshop:
Thursday, November 14, 2013
3:15 - 4:30 pm
Location: Law office near Farragut Square

PLEN is the only national nonprofit with the sole focus of preparing college women for careers in public policy. We achieve our mission by bringing college women from across the country to Washington D.C. The students participating in this program will be learning about careers at the intersection of law and policy during a three day visit to Washington, D.C.

Volunteers do not need to be lawyers to give resume advice. Volunteers will be placed with small groups of students and offer broad resume advice; then, they will give individual resume feedback to each student in the breakout group while the other students peer-edit.

PLEN regularly has opportunities to volunteer with our students. Please contact Dawn Culpepper, Director of Programs and Operations, at dculpepper@plen.org to volunteer for this workshop or for other volunteer opportunities.
