Book Launch: Breakthrough leadership in the digital age: Using learning science to reboot schooling
Thursday, October 31, 2013 | 9:00 am - 10:30 am ET (registration begins at 8:45am ET)
AEI, Twelfth Floor
1150 Seventeenth Street, NW
Washington, DC 20036
Today's amplified focus on digital tools and solutions can make it seem as if a quick trip to the Apple store will answer the many problems educators face in the classroom. But today's teachers and principals realize that the solution goes beyond the new devices themselves. At this book launch event, Rick Hess and Bror Saxberg will discuss how technology can help redesign schooling to better serve kids, and the challenges of doing so in a static system with traditional (and often antiquated) routines.
If you are unable to attend, we welcome you to watch the event live stream and participate on Twitter using #DigLeadership.
Panel:
Rosa Atkins, Superintendent of Charlottesville City Schools Mark Edwards, Superintendent of Mooresville Graded School District Rick Ogston, Carpe Diem Online Schools Bror Saxberg, Kaplan, Inc.
Moderator:
Rick Hess, AEI
