[YEP-DC] Mentor DC Public School Children with Turning the Page!

Would you like to become a child mentor in DC Public Schools and improve students' literacy skills for a few hours during the week?  Become a child mentor with Turning the Page for the 2013-14 school year!
Turning the Page (TTP) is a nonprofit organization that provides educational resources to DC Public School parents in order to help them become stronger partners in their children's education. Turning the Page holds a series of Community Nights, our cornerstone family engagement program,  each semester at our six partner schools. During these events, volunteers lead literacy-based mentoring activities involving a book reading and craft project for students in grades PreK-8th grade.

Child mentors work with a group of 3-5 students at our Community Nights. We are especially looking for volunteers for Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 pm on the following days:

-Oct. 30th at Patterson Elementary School (4399 S. Capitol Terrace SW)
