Job Description

Overall Responsibilities:

Based in our Washington, DC office, duties will include managing projects (management of staff, contractors, clients, resources, and timelines), quantitative and qualitative analysis, writing a range of documents (e.g., client reports, PowerPoint presentations, project plans, policies and procedures), and communicating with a wide range of audiences. The consultant will work in a deadline-oriented, fast paced environment and will need to be able to work effectively both in teams and independently. This position will focus efforts on the EasyTracTM and EdPlanTM modules for a rapidly growing client base. EasyTrac facilitates Internet and handheld documentation of health related services to students. This position requires a self-starter who can quickly learn our web-based technologies and provide assistance to our project team. The ideal candidate for this position will be flexible, reliable, enthusiastic, and must have the ability to manage multiple tasks or clients simultaneously. If he or she is successful, the consultant will be given the opportunity to manage increasingly complex projects to develop broader management skills.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

A strong candidate will be able to give concrete examples of abilities in the following areas from past work

· Using all MS Office products

.· Understanding the needs of public (and, ideally, private) child welfare and/or health and human services agencies (ideally at the state and local level).

Required Education & Prior Experience:

· Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

· 3-5 years consulting experience preferred.

· Previous supervisory experience preferred.

· Related public sector experience in the areas of frontline practice, administration, information technology, and/or finance or business operations.

· Subject matter expertise in a related area

· Proven project management experience

· Ability to travel 25-50% of the time
