[YEP-DC] Legal Internship with the Educational Opportunities Project of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law

The Educational Opportunities Project of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law seeks legal interns for the fall, spring and summer semesters.  (Fall deadline is soon!) The Educational Opportunities Project strives to guarantee that all students receive equal educational opportunities in public schools and institutions of higher learning by promoting school integration and challenging discriminatory discipline and classroom assignment practices as well as school finance inadequacy. The Project also trains parents on their legal rights in their child's education through the Parental Readiness and Empowerment Program.

Interns will conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, and participate in strategic meetings. Interns may also draft curricula, attend coalition meetings and briefings, and conduct factual investigations related to the Educational Opportunities Project's litigation docket. More info about the Project can be found at http://www.lawyerscommittee.org/projects/education.  Attached is a more detailed job description.

Thank you,

Natasha Quiroga
