This Friday, August 24, join the Fordham Institute for a morning discussion of the merits of America's selective public high schools. Chester E. Finn, Jr. and Jessica Hockett, co-authors of a new book on these "exam schools," will be joined by a pair of D.C.-area educators instrumental in the creation of local selective public schools: Stephen Trachtenberg, president emeritus of George Washington University, and Geoffrey Jones, founding principal of Alexandria's Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
