To: win-womens-information-network@googlegroups.com
AAUW invites nominations for the following prestigious biennial award.
Established in 1989, the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award honors an individual, project, organization, or institution for outstanding contributions to equality and education for women and girls. The award is given for a broad range of activities including classroom teaching, educational and research contributions, and legal and legislative work in equality for women and girls. While the award focuses on education, the recipient need not be an educator.
Work should support the following goals of the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund:
· To remove barriers to women's and girls' participation in education.
· To promote the value of diversity and cross-cultural communication.
· To develop greater understanding of the ways women learn, think, work, and play.
Please visit the AAUW website to nominate a deserving woman, institution, or organization! The deadline for the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award is November 15, 2012.
