[dcab-l] Dupont Bluegrass Jam This Sunday, Aug. 5, 11am-2pm

Join us for the August edition of the Dupont bluegrass jam this Sunday, August 5, at the Mansion on O St (2020 O Street N.W.), hosted by the DC Bluegrass Union. We'll get started at 11am and will play til 2pm.  We always play on the first Sunday of the month.

 

It's always helpful to have a couple tunes prepared that you can lead. Please have a few in your pocket ready to go … you'll thank yourself later, and we will, too!

 

Admission is always free, but please consider making a donation to our hosts. You can help out online or you can make a donation at the event. Every dollar, dime, and nickel is appreciated. But if you'd just like to come and play, that's more than fine, too! 

 

The Mansion has kindly offered 1/2 off breakfast, brunch or tea. Just sign up on their website and put 'bluegrass' in the notes field. They will apply the discount on their end. How great is that?!?

 

In Other DCBU News: The DC Bluegrass Union is working on the 2013 DC Bluegrass Festival to be held Feb. 22-24 in College Park, Maryland. Mark your calendars now!! The lineup is almost finalized, but there is room for one more band. If you have a favorite group you'd like to see at the festival, please let Mike Marceau know. Please note, DCBU is a small non-profit, so Del McCoury is out of the question!! But all suggestions will be considered!
