ABOUT BUILD
Founded in 1999, BUILD runs the nation's largest youth incubators with the mission to use entrepreneurship to excite and propel disengaged, low-income students through high school to college success. We believe that the power of student ideas in action drives youth to reach their fullest potential in school and beyond. BUILD has just launched its academic tutor recruiting efforts for the 2011-2012 school years, and needs to recruit over 25 new volunteer tutors for our groups of Sophomore, Junior and Senior year students.
ENTREPRENEURS E2-E4 TUTORS
Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Tutors - E2-E4 Tutors provide academic support and guidance for a group of 1-4 students per Academic Incubator session. All Academic Tutors will volunteer at our BUILD Offices at 645 Pennsylvania SE, 3rd

THE BUILD EXPERIENCE
Being a BUILD tutor is a chance to truly connect to your community. While tutoring youth, you are put in a position to make a real difference in the lives of some very talented and entrepreneurial teenagers. You'll also be joining a diverse team of highly motivated local professionals.
When asked what they liked about the 2010-2011 Academic Incubator Sessions, students responded:
"Tutors help me get a lot of work done and I like that we How much I accomplish with my tutor. "—BUILD Student
"Sometimes it is hard to do my home work by myself, so I love all the help."—BUILD Student
"Often, we are working in 1:1 tutor/student ratios and are able to be very productive and forge meaningful relationships with students. Our conversations with students will center on their academic performance to date as well as discussing areas where students are facing difficulty or require support" -- E2 Tutor
