The National Society of Black Engineers, Washington D.C. Professionals Chapter (NSBE DC) is hosting its first Girls Love STEM Conference on May 3, 2014 at Trinity Washington University for 6-12th grade girls!!! The main goal of this conference is to spark and keep girls interested in STEM and to motivate girls to pursue STEM careers. Through the conference NSBE DC hopes to improve girls' attitudes about STEM and encourage successful outcomes such as completion of mathematics and science courses, reduce dropout rates, improve reading and mathematics test scores, and increase college attendance.

How Computers Work Presented by IT Computer Wiz Kids
3-D Priting Workshop Presented by Bestbuy Geek Squad
Digital Photography Presented by Bestbuy Geek Squad
The Creative Side of Tech Presented by DC Web Women
Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Demo by Bestbuy Geek Squad
Adventures In Flight Presented by NSBE DC
The chapter has started an Indiegogo campaign to get the community, friends, family, and STEM education supporters involved with making this conference a success. I am reaching out to you to ask if you would be willing to make a donation (no matter how big or small), to help make an impact on each girl's experience at this conference. All donations are tax deductible. The fundraising campaign will be ending in 1 Days on April 20, 2014.
