Holly Near Holly Near with special guests emma's revolution

A folk singer of near-legendary status who has worked with many of musical giants including Pete Seeger, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Baez, Arlo Guthrie, Jackson Browne, Mercedes Sosa and more, Holly Near's career has been defined by the melding of her passion for music with her passion for human dignity. One of the "1000 Women for Peace" nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 and with numerous awards for both music and activism, Holly expanded her reach to form one of the first female-owned independent record companies. She has been a profound influence on the "women's music" movement, and continues to work for peace and multicultural consciousness.

Holly Near is accompanied by Washington, D.C.-based duo emma's revolution. With gorgeous harmonies and sharp wit, the duo of Pat Humphries and Sandy O have been compared to Rachel Maddow and Jon Stewart with guitars.

News from the Veterans Initiative
It's Time!
The Veterans Initiative has a goal of bringing 35 veterans to Traditions Weeks this year - that's $70,000 that we need to raise to make this life-changing opportunity a reality ($1000 per veteran per week), and we need YOUR help!

Show the veterans how much you care with a tax-deductible donation to the Veterans Initiative. Check out the Indiegogo campaign HERE or visit the Common Ground website HERE. Any amount donated goes directly to bring veterans to Common Ground on the Hill!
