This May, You're Invited to the 2014 LOUDER THAN A BOMB – DMV Teen Poetry Slam Festival
After-school poetry slam teams from 25 high schools in DC, MD, and VA come together to share their individual and group poems in this month-long festival celebrating the power of the written and spoken word. Show your support for the talented teenagers from the DMV area who have spent the year perfecting their poems for this competition by attending and inviting your friends to the following events. PRELIM SLAMS - May 4th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 14th at all four Busboys and Poets locations ($5 each)
Each prelim slam brings together five slam teams from DC, MD, and VA for four rounds of performance poetry competition. Teams placing 1st and 2nd advance to Semi-Finals. View the schedule to see when each school performs.

The ten teams who place 1st and 2nd in Prelims come back for two Semi-Finals Bouts with five teams in each. Again, in each Semi-Finals Bout, the teams placing 1st and 2nd advance to Finals.
