The Drama Dept. at Catholic University, one of the oldest drama programs in the country, is offering a special two-week summer drama institute for high school juniors, seniors, and rising first-year college students. The program is designed for students who wish to pursue a serious summer drama training experience. Thank you for sharing this information with students who might be interested.
The program includes daily classes focused on voice, movement, and acting culminating with a workshop performance of monologues and short scenes presented on the evening of the final day. CUAdrama professors and local theatre professionals lead master classes such as improvisation, character work, and stage combat.

July 7-18, 2014
Monday – Friday from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm*
*In addition, students will be variously scheduled for evening rehearsals between 5:30 and 7:30 pm during the Institute.
Limited Scholarships available.
Application Deadline: May 15, 2014*
*Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only if space is available—on a rolling basis as long as space remains.
