Early Childhood Outside 2014 Conference: The Arts in Nature
Registration is now open for the Saturday, April 26, NoVA Outside's third annual early childhood conference. The conference is from 8:30am-1:00pm.
NoVA Outside is an Alliance of Environmental Educators who connect and teach people of all ages about their natural environment. Our members come from schools, businesses, nature centers, non-profits, "green" groups, and government agencies.
This year it will be held at Westlawn Elementary School, a Fairfax County Public School with a beautiful teacher-created natural outdoor Discovery Area. We encourage early childhood educators up to grade 2, parents, environmental educators and everyone who cares about connecting children to nature to attend!
The conference will feature a keynote by Amanda Whiteman (Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist), The Earth Loom, ephemeral art, outdoor music, drama, storytelling and more.
