[YEP-DC] The SEED Foundation is seeking a Grants Manager

The SEED Foundation is looking for a skilled and strategic Grants Manager to expand SEED's base of foundation and corporate support. The Grants Manager will not only develop and write grant proposals; s/he will lead SEED's strategy to identify, engage, and persuade foundation and corporate prospects to fund The SEED Foundation's innovative work. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed project manager with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and prior grant-writing experience.

Key responsibilities of the Grants Manager include:

·         Creating, adapting, and submitting grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making entities and persuasively communicating SEED's model and results;

·         Developing an in-depth understanding of the criteria and priorities applicable to each granting program, and tailoring proposals to reflect donor priorities;

·         Conducting prospect research, including establishing and maintaining personal contact and relationships with foundation personnel and program officers;

·         Managing a continually evolving pipeline of prospective donors; and

·         Developing and maintaining a calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, adherence to proposal deadlines, and completion of reports.
