[YEP-DC] Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS Seeks Special Education Guide

Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School offers a quality Montessori education infused with culturally inclusive principles to guide children to develop to their fullest potential. The Special Education teacher collaborates with the Montessori Guide to assist students with special needs to develop to their fullest potential within the context of the Montessori approach to education.

Basic Qualifications

·         Special Education Teacher certification

·          Bachelor's degree and passing scores on relevant Praxis exam preferred;

·         An openness  and commitment to Montessori principles and educational philosophy and a willingness to learn and apply Montessori principles in working with the special needs students;

·         A commitment to working with children in an urban public school setting;

·         A commitment to cultural empowerment and culturally inclusive practices;

·         Experience working in an early childhood setting with children with Autism
