Project Manager/Student Data Specialist

The Project Manager creates and implements school wide structures and systems to maintain stability and prepare for continued school growth. The Project Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Director of School Operations, providing support on all aspects of organizational and program management.

Responsibilities include:
-Overseeing and maintaining all student data, databases, and information
-Serving as the school's registrar, managing student recruitment, the lottery, re-enrollment, and new student enrollment

-Serving as a staff liaison to students and families regarding issues of enrollment and family contact information
-Managing transfer of required student information to the DC Public Charter School Board and to the Office of the State Superintendent of Education

-Developing and implementing efficient school-wide systems for internal processes
-Managing special projects that arise as part of key school events and programs

-Managing school visits for external audiences and the school calendar
-Supporting the Executive Director with communications with the Board of Directors; preparing and compiling materials for Board meetings and calls

-Contributing to the school's social media strategy as a member of the communications team, including website improvements and updates and the school's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
-Manage Fundraising database.

-Representing the school at community meetings, local education gatherings, professional networking events, city leaders, etc.
-Attending weekend and evening events


Administrative Assistant

Serving in a dual role, the Administrative Assistant will be the first face greeting students, families, and visitors as they arrive at the school and will provide key administrative support for the school's Principal. The Administrative Assistant will manage a wide range of demands in a fast-paced environment. To establish a true professional learning community, all adults in the building are considered educators, as they will all interact regularly with students. As such, a firm belief and grounding in the philosophy and values of the school's mission is crucial for every employee. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is well-organized and high-performing. It is also ideal for someone who is passionate about providing a progressive, inquiry-based education for a diverse group of students.

As the Administrative Assistant, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Greet and assist faculty, students, families, and visitors.

-Keep reception area neat and welcoming.

-Distribute, sort and review mail.

-Answer office phones/take messages and route calls.

-Replenish office supplies and equipment.

-Ensure attendance is taken and recorded in a timely fashion

-Oversee recordkeeping of National School Lunch Program

-Assist with the organization of school-wide events, such as Learning Showcases and Open Houses

-Manage the Principal's schedule, mail, files, and correspondence, and carry out independent projects as assigned. The role includes coordination of internal communication from the Principal to staff and volunteers.
