I may have missed it in the DC club recollections thread, but I have to say the Pizza Pub in Laurel was easily the strangest gig I've ever played. I mean, wow. The 9pm to 2am time frame was a challenge. Luckily bands were reinforced during the break by an "elf" singing and playing piano. For the uninitiated, this was a "little person" dressed up in a green elf suit singing Tin Pan Alley songs.
Yikes.
