THIS FRIDAY! Bring a friend and come up to Columbia...
Guests can begin arriving around 6pm for jamming, socializing, and snacking. Performance will probably begin around 7:30pm. Folks wishing to stay afterwards and visit or jam are all welcome. We will have some snacks, water, colas and coffee. BYOB. Feel free to bring a snack ... but it isn't necessary. (I will send our street address to guests who are coming...) We are asking for a $20 donation, all going to the band.
Jeanette Williams, lead vocalist, bass player and award-winning songwriter, began her singing career in 1989, with a local country band performing at amateur recreations of the Grand Ole Opry. Since that time, she has been the recipient of a number of awards including the 2012 and 2009 SPBGMA Female Vocalist of the Year Award in the traditional category, named the Virginia Folk Music Association's State Champion Female Vocalist, PICABO Entertainer of the Year (4 times), and PICABO Female Vocalist (4 times). She has garnered no less than 6 nominations for SPBGMA Female Vocalist of the Year and is a 2005 graduate of IBMA Leadership Bluegrass.
