Thanks for the call out Matt! Hope Solly's went well last night too! So far our series at El Nopalito seems to be going well, and hoping we can spread the word more by posting in this forum. The next bluegrass night at El Nopalito will be August 8th, featuring Buck Stone & The Bucktones and then on August 22 it's Rockledge, featuring Lynn Healey. Really looking forward to that show!  Michelle

Solly's in DC is a U Street neighborhood bar that will be the site of a monthly Bluegrass Beltway Ramble- great local bluegrass and great local beer from DC Brau. By and By kicks things off on Thursday night. Folks will know that By and By won the DCBU band contest in 2012. $5 cover goes to the band and to DCBU. This shows starting later than initially advertised, due to a party at the pub. 

Definitely see what you can do to get out and support these shows. The better the attendance, the more bluegrass will be shown, and a few more bucks will make it into these great local performers pockets. Please post here if you're going! Its good to show support!

If you have a band that wants to be considered, contact me off line, or email through the DCBU website. 

In the meantime, we'll be looking to set something up in VA...If you have ideas, or want to help, let us know.
