[dcab-l] DC BG History Lesson

Thanks to Tom Gray and Tim Kruzic for some great memories from 40 years ago. Starting in 1973 I was a semi-regular (irregular?) at the Red Fox Inn. In the late 70s/early 80s I played electric bass at the open mics at the Takoma Tap Room. That was a great learning experience for me, since I got to play many other kinds of music besides BG.
I missed out on a lot of the other venues as that was my period of "consuming mass quantities" as the Coneheads from Saturday Night Live so aptly put it. My memories are pretty fuzzy for several years during that period!!  ;-]
