Re: [dcab-l] the weirdest gig

When I was with New River Express we were hired to play on the Elipse in
DC for the Anti-Vivisection League protest across from the White House.
So here we are playing bluegrass surrounded by big posters of
dissected monkeys, dogs, cats, etc. Weird.
We also were hired to play at the Sylvan Theater on the mall for an
Easter Egg hunt for blind children. The eggs had little clickers in them
so the kids could find them. Needless to say they screamed at us to stop
playing - the kids could not hear the clickers... Duh!

I've also play for a baptism, a wedding service (not reception), and a
burial!!
