Urban Teacher Center's Teacher Prep Application for Cohort 2014 is Now Open!
Urban Teacher Center's alternative teacher preparation program application for Cohort 2014 in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD is now open at www.urbanteachercenter.org. UTC offers a free dual master's, extensive one-on-one coaching (20 sessions over three years), and a 15-month residency working alongside host teachers in real classrooms followed by a three-year teaching commitment in some of the nation's neediest public schools. Those interested in a career in urban teaching should apply! You must be a college graduate by June 2014. We also love career changers! Come meet UTC program participants at the YEP-DC Panel "Teaching the Teachers" on August 6 and participate in a webinar to learn more on August 7 at 9PM. Sign up through the "Events" tab of UTC's website. If you have any questions, email Kerry Swarr, Director of Human Capital, at Kerrys@urbanteachercenter.org.
