[YEP-DC] New post on YEP-DC's blog: "The Real Threat to Common Core? Missing the Mental Shift"

Even among all of the controversy surrounding the Common Core State Standards -- and the policymakers calling into question its effectiveness, rigor, and costs -- Scott Goldstein, a D.C. teacher, identifies one threat that is bigger than them all: A system that doesn't recognize the complete re-think necessary in instructional delivery. Yes, assessments will change, and yes, standards will change. But educators -- and their administrators and policymakers -- must acknowledge that they must change how they work in the classroom, too.
