[YEP-DC] Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy needs mentors!

Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy

We are excited to launch a new Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy in partnership with Higher Achievement this fall and invite you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of some wonderful scholar-athletes.  The Academy will offer comprehensive programs promoting learning, health, and team building designed to meet the needs of youth living in neighborhoods surrounding the new athletic complex in DC’s Ward 7 and 8. WNYBA invites qualified volunteers to support its academic enrichment programs.  Teaching mentors will be role models with varied backgrounds. Together, these mentors will build a rich community that exposes young scholars to the joys of baseball, new perspectives and many forms of support. Our mentors, in turn, are rewarded with the experience of making a dramatic and clear impact on the lives of young people — and they are connected with a like minded adults who share both a passion for the game as well as education.
