[YEP-DC] Volunteer with FLOC this school year: tutor math or reading!

Volunteer Tutors Needed in SE and NW – Make a difference in a child's life!

Nearly 75% of DC students perform at or below basic levels in reading and math.  YOU can change that! For Love of Children's one-on-one tutoring program helps students achieve grade-level competency in reading and math. In just 22 hours of tutoring, students improve an average of 1 year in reading and math skills while gaining confidence in their abilities.  Each new tutor allows us to impact the life of one more child. Training in our structured curricula and ongoing support from professional staff are provided, so no experience is necessary.  The commitment is only 2.5 hours once a week for the school year, and programs are available on Saturdays, weekday evenings, and weekday afternoons at sites in Adams Morgan, Congress Heights, Dupont Circle, Columbia Heights, and Eastern Market.
