[YEP-DC] Position Available: Education Account Executive, Hager Sharp

Hager Sharp is looking for an Account Executive to join the education team and provide support to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also referred to as The Nation's Report Card.

The ideal candidate has two years of work experience, is a quick-learner, self-starter, and team player with an interest in education.

Duties may include:

  • Reviewing and editing documents and providing feedback
  • Developing  new publications or materials
  • Planning and coordinating traditional and social media outreach programs
  • Planning for and executing events targeted to stakeholder groups, including press events
  • Researching and compiling information related to client projects

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • A working knowledge of education institutions and organizations and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze and summarize complex data and information for public consumption
  • Familiarity with best practice communications tactics and public relations tools (knowledge of Cision a plus)
  • Project management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform well under tight deadlines to produce quality work
  • Strong client-service orientation
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
