[YEP-DC] Foster the City

Foster the City
Every child deserves a loving and stable home. There are 1,300 children in DC's foster care system, three hundred waiting for adoptive families, and thousands more across Maryland and Virginia. The good news? There's something you can do about it.

On November 2nd, the National Council For Adoption and DC127 invite you to Foster the City, a FREE, one-day, citywide event where you can learn more about making a difference in the life of a child living in foster care. Listen to inspiring speakers, ranging from national experts to ordinary people showing extraordinary love and sacrifice, and whose lives have been changed as result of their involvement on this critical issue. Choose one of several workshop tracks, specially tailored to your interests. Connect with others who are also in the process of thinking through how to take the next step. You don't need to be interested in taking in a foster child to attend, they will show you many different ways to get involved.
