| This month, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education. Over the years, court decisions, policies, and increasing residential segregation have significantly eroded the legacy of Brown. Today, more students are educated in segregated settings than forty years ago. Concentrated poverty and segregated schools continue to compromise educational opportunity for students across the country. Please join us for a discussion with policy makers, researchers, and civil rights advocates on the implications of the resegregation of public education and concurrent changes in student demographics—and about what can be done to reverse this disturbing trend.
