[YEP-DC] Center City PCS Summer Academy Teacher position

The Details

Summer Academy will run from Monday June 30^th through Friday July 25^th (Friday July 4^th is an unpaid holiday).

 

Hours of operation are 8am – 2:30pm with teachers and directors expected on site from 7:45am-3:15pm.

 

Training and orientation for Summer Academy teachers will be held on June 20^th from 8:00am-3:00pm. Staff will receive a $100 stipend for training and orientation, separate and apart from the hourly pay. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during training.

 

Open Positions 

 

Summer Academy Teacher

a.      Who we're looking for – Renewed or new hire teachers who would like to work during summer and who have proven results moving students in ELA and Math. Also, external teachers who have proven results moving students in ELA and Math in the grades that we serve (PreK-8^th).

b.     What we're offering - $30 per hour for the 4 week summer academy (June 30^th – July 25^th), hours 7:45am-3:15 pm, and a $100 stipend for training on June 20^th

Application Process

All applications are being collected online. Note: For internal teachers, the Summer Academy Teacher application process is via Google Form. While for external candidates for the Summer Academy Teacher position the application process is via ADP.

 

Please note: To be a summer academy teacher, you must have demonstrated success teaching the grade level and subject area that you select as a classroom teacher. For the summer, we only offer ELA and Math blocks.

 

All applications must be received by Friday June 13^th, 2014. Applications will be processed as they are received so it is encouraged to apply early.
