Dear YEPers,
As you may know, Teach Plus addresses the urgent need for effective, experienced teachers in urban classrooms by expanding the concept of teacher leadership. The Teach Plus Teaching Policy Fellowship is a rigorous, selective 16-month Fellowship that engages highly effective, early-career teachers (currently in years 2-10 of teaching) in work on issues related to the future of the teaching profession. Teaching Policy Fellows meet monthly to interact directly with education policy leaders and research experts; analyze education reform initiatives; study innovative practices; and advocate for reform, while continuing to teach full-time. We are currently accepting applications for our 2014-15 cohort of Teaching Policy
We are specifically looking for teachers in DC's surrounding districts, specifically- Alexandria, Anne Arundel, Arlington, Baltimore, Prince George's and Montgomery.
Please NOMINATE a few outstanding teachers (in years 2 – 10 of teaching) for the Teaching Policy Fellowship by filling out the brief nomination form HERE. Teach Plus will contact nominated teachers to invite them to apply to the Fellowship.
With appreciation,
Sheri Wallach
Policy Program Lead
