[YEP-DC] Community Event: Free Summer Teacher Institute at the Newseum!

Dear colleagues,

I'm excited to share that in partnership with Annenberg Learner, the Newseum is offering "Speaking of Change," a free, three-day institute this summer! We will focus on learning from successful movements of social change throughout history. Teachers will leave with new tools to help students learn to communicate effectively through the freedom of speech and the power of technology. Participants will get everything from workshops to time with a curator to resources for the classroom. It's open to all teachers from across the country, but we can't provide transportation and housing. We are providing breakfast and lunch, plus many other benefits.

For more information and to apply, please visit: http://www.newseum.org/education/teacher-resources/upcoming-workshops/summer-teacher-institute/index.html. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on May 26, 2014.

Email educationprograms@newseum.org with questions.

Warm wishes,

Anna
