The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) has a research analyst position opening in our Academic Affairs division. Please see the position description and instructions for applying below.
Position Description Summary:
The Research Analyst works directly with the Associate Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to conduct and coordinate research-related projects, activities and initiatives. These activities include the distribution and collection of data from annual surveys, the production of reports and publications and ad hoc requests of data collected. The analyst will regularly communicate with staff, association members, and external business partners.
Essential Functions/Tasks:
Institutional Research (85%)
- Serve as the primary liaison between the survey system vendor and AACP staff and member institutions for enhancement requests and issues
- Continually monitor, maintain, and improve the survey system
- Build, edit, and test all annual surveys within the AACP survey system
- Assist with/conduct administration of annual surveys
- Conduct data review of survey submissions, data cleaning, and survey follow-up activities for all AACP surveys
- Prepare AACP Research Briefs, summary reports, and peer comparison reports
- Assist with preparation of the Profile of Pharmacy Students
- Update the Institutional Research section of the AACP website and maintain all Institutional Research search directories
- Run ad-hoc peer reports upon request
- Enhance the visual display of AACP survey data in publications and the website
Research and Graduate Affairs (10%)
- Provide project management for the Funded Faculty Research Grant Data Survey and assist in the verification of grants submitted
Perform General AACP Staff Responsibilities (5%)
- Participate in AACP staff working groups as assigned
- Provide occasional other general administrative staff support
- Potential travel, one to two times per year
Qualifications for Position: (list experience, skills, and education required)
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field, advanced degree desirable.
- At least 1-2 years experience in research/survey field.
- Expertise in statistical software and applications, including SPSS, Excel, and database management systems
- Familiarity with web-based software applications
- Aptitude for numbers and ability to manipulate data with accuracy and precision.
- General knowledge of trends in higher education
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible and work creatively as part of a team or individually
