Join ELP in our Arlington or Falls Church location and provide guidance and advice to students on public speaking, goal setting, and career planning. Mentors are paired with at least one other mentor and together they are responsible for a group of 3-6 students. Each mentor/mentee group is called a "Crew." Throughout the program, mentors will join students on a university visit, assist them as they apply for the program's scholarship, advise them as they develop an action plan to solve any obstacle to their personal success, and serve as role models. For our spring session, mentors will meet with their mentees on seven (7)Saturday mornings including a kick-off ceremony at George Mason University on the firstSaturday from Saturday, March 1 through Saturday, April 12, 2014. To learn more about the mentor role and to access our online application, please visit www.edu-futuro.org/
If you are interested in getting involved with ELP but are not able to make the Saturday time commitment, we also offer one-time volunteer opportunities for individuals to serve on our career panels, scholarship committees, judges for our speech competition, etc. You can find descriptions of each of these opportunities and links to sign up at www.edu-futuro.org/
Please contact us at info@edu-futuro.org or at 703-228-2560 should you have any questions or seek more information on the program.
We look forward to receiving your application!
