DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative

DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative is a 501(c3) non-profit organization located in the Kenilworth Parkside Community in Ward 7 of Washington, DC.  Our mission is to increase the number of children who complete their education from cradle to college and enter adulthood as productive participants in the 21st – century economy and in the civic life of their communities.

As part of the White House Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, Promise Neighborhoods align federal funding streams that invest in transforming neighborhoods of concentrated poverty into neighborhoods of opportunity.

DCPNI is building a cradle to career pipeline for children through robust collaboration with local and national service providers, technical assistance partners, and community groups.  Our partnership model is designed to achieve community change through intentional, cross-sector coordination rather than isolated activities of individual organizations.

DCPNI’s role is to coordinate the process by which partners share programmatic information, identify areas of overlap and collaboration, align resources, and link programs to create a cradle to career pipeline.
