[dcab-l] Gair teaching private banjo lessons

A note to all:

Bruce Gair is no longer associated as a banjo teacher at Contemporary Music Center. He will continue for the next two months to lead the "Bluegrass Club" meeting at CMC on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays.

Bruce has developed a plan for lessons which will make them considerably cheaper to the student and more flexible in terms of the lesson program that will "fit" the skill level and time obligations of students.

Students (beginning through advanced intermediate) may now sign up for private lessons on a weekly, alternating week or "catch-as-catch-can" basis ("pick ups"). Rates for lessons are as follows:

Weekly lessons - $100 per month payable at the first of the month (no extra charge if there is a fifth lesson day in the month). "Per month" students will receive make up lessons for all lessons missed for any reason.

Alternating week lessons will be $25 payable at the time of each lesson.

"Pick ups" arranged as the student and Bruce agree will be $25 payable at the time of the lesson.

Lessons are given on Mondays and Tuesdays only, noon to 9:00 p.m., unless special arrangements are made.

The venue for lessons is Pace West School at 15000 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA 20169 (on the left about 3/4 mile east of the Route 15 Sheetz - past the Jefferson Street traffic light.).  The school is in private hands and is being converted to commercial property.

All of Bruce's students, regardless of the plan they are on and regardless of their skill level, are eligible to attend a semi-annual, spring and fall, 4 hour banjo seminar for $20. (Students not registered for lessons with Bruce will be charged $40.)

Finally, all of Bruce's students may call him (at reasonable hours) for immediate assistance with a playing issue or send him an email for a response within 24 hours (no charge).
