[YEP-DC] Special Education Teacher, OT and SLP open positions w/ Early Stages

All three positions are located in the Early Stages Center within DC Public Schools.

The Center is responsible for executing DCPS’s Child Find program for children ages 3-5 and operates in conjunction with the Office of Special Instruction.  The center is intended to be a national model for the identification, screening and evaluation of young children for special education services. Please visit: www.earlystagesdc.org to learn more about the program. 

• Certified Special Education Teacher are Eligible to apply to our Evaluation Coordinator position. 
  

Qualifications:

Master’s degree and current teacher certification in Special Education.

 At least two years related work experience.

 Early childhood development and/or education, experience and knowledge of early childhood curriculum a plus.

 Expert knowledge and use of special diagnostic tools and educational assessments for early childhood intervention.

 

• Speech and Language Pathologist

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.A./M.S.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
•  AHSA Certified (preferred)
• Eligible for AHSA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (accepted)
 
• A Minimum of 2 Years Experience Serving Infants and Toddlers With, or at risk of, developmental delay or disability

• Occupational Therapist

Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Three to five years related work experience

Licensed by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Licensed by the D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Occupational and Professional Licensing Administration.
