| | Harmonica - I wanna know | Vocalist Lea Gilmore brings her famed powerhouse vocals back to her hometown, after stints in Italy, Denmark and Russia. She has a new CD, Classically Blue: Lea Gilmore Live at the Eubie Blake Center, and she's ready to sing for you! Lea will be accompanied by her band, Classically Blue ( Derrick Thompson - piano; Mitchell Coates - bass; Jesse "Jay" Moody III - drums) and some very Special Guests: Eleanor Ellis, Willie Leebel and Mike Baytop from Archie Edwards, bluesman Memphis Gold, renowned dancer Maria Broom, Baltimore Choral Arts Society Music Director Tom Hall - AND Lea reunites with Sangmele: Walt Michael & Henry Reiff! | | Orange Blossom Special ~ Michael Cleveland ~ BEST VERSION EVER !! | Michael Cleveland overcame blindness in a spectacular way: by not only becoming a 9-time winner of the International Bluegrass Music Association Fiddler of the Year award, but by leading Flamekeeper, 4-time winner of the IBMA Instrumental Group of the Year! He has played with everyone from legends such as Ralph Stanley, Bill Monroe and Doc Watson to modern superstars including Alison Krauss, Tom Adams and Vince Gill. Flamekeeper is Michael Cleveland (fiddle), Glenn Gibson (banjo, resoponic guitar), Nathan Livers (vocals, mandolin), Tyler Griffith (vocals, bass) and Joshua Richards (vocals, guitar). Come on out to sunny Arizona to re-connect with the Common Ground on the Hill community! Many favorites will be there, including Walt Michael, Ronstadt Generations, Josh Hisle, Pablo Peregrina, Lee Francis III and Cheyenne Brown, and you'll have the opportunity to meet some amazing instructors new to Common Ground, including filmmaker David Damian Figueroa, banjo player Dan Levenson, dancer Nanette Robinson, artist Jennifer Clarke and more! 3 days of classes, evening concerts and dances, and scenery that will take your breath away.
Evening concerts include David Bromberg, The Ronstadt Generations, and Common Ground on the Border faculty.

Common Ground on the Hill is a roots-based, traditional arts nonprofit housed on the campus of McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. Founded in 1994, we foster and facilitate dialogue among different cultures to discover that our artistic common ground unites us. Our program includes 2 monthly concert series (in Baltimore and Westminster), 2 weeks of classes and concerts at Traditions Weeks, a Roots Music & Arts Festival, Common Ground on Seminary Ridge, Common Ground on the Border, the Deer Creek Fiddlers' Convention, and the Ira & Mary Zepp Center for Nonviolence and Peace Education.
