Georgetown University, the nation’s oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher learning, seeks a Program Manager for the Institute or College Preparation (ICP) and Assistant Director in the Center for Multicultural Equity & Access (CMEA). The Program Manager provides day-to-day management for ICP, a comprehensive educational enrichment program designed to assist approximately 200 District of Columbia Public School students graduate from high school and succeed in college.

The Program Manager/Assistant Director manages an annual program budget of more than $1M; complies with regulatory and funding guidelines and leads the development of new grant opportunities; oversees the development of curriculum and developmental programs for students in grades 6-12; conducts workshops and presentations; evaluates the effectiveness of programs; oversees program logistics including scheduling, transportation, technology and data management; and coordinates with a wide variety of campus partners including faculty, the registrar, the Office of Community Engagement, the Center for Social Justice as well as colleagues within Student Affairs.

The Program Manager/Assistant Director should have at least seven years experience as a classroom teacher/counselor or administering educational programs that serve low-income urban communities; familiarity with both higher education and secondary-school educational environments; and demonstrated commitment to educational opportunity and youth development. Strong skills in project management, organization, written and oral communication? are essential.

The position reports to the Director of CMEA within the division of Student Affairs and supervises program coordinators, student employees and numerous volunteers. A mandatory background clearance and Master’s degree is required.
