Get ready for the next Bluegrass Open Mike, to take place Tuesday February 11 from 8:00-11:00 PM at the American Legion Post 268 and featuring the friendly bluegrass and folksy humor of Lonesome Pine. The American Legion Post 268 is at 11225 Fern Street, Wheaton, MD, easily accessible by car and just two blocks from the Wheaton Metro.
The Bluegrass Open Mikes feature something for everyone:
* an open mike for those who'd like to strut their stuff on stage with a PA;
* a concert series featuring the Capital Region's many talented local bands;
* a separate room for jamming.
Many of the top DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia bands have been booked to headline at the Bluegrass Open Mikes, including Lonesome Pine, Rattlesnake Hill, Newgrass Effect, Durham Station, Gravel Road, King Street Bluegrass, Mountain Ride, Taste of Bluegrass, the Flower Hill String Band, the Tumbleweeds, the Beltway Mountain Boys, Buck Stone and the Bucktones, and Bluegrass Camp.
