[dcab-l] Tuesday January 14: Bluegrass Open Mike

Get ready for the next Bluegrass Open Mike, to take place Tuesday January 14 from 8:00-11:00 PM at the American Legion Post 268 and featuring the eclectic mix of bluegrass, honky-tonk country, and quirky, catchy originals of Buck Stone and the Bucktones.  The American Legion Post 268 is at 11225 Fern Street, Wheaton, MD, easily accessible by car and just two blocks from the Wheaton Metro.

The Bluegrass Open Mikes will feature something for everyone:

*  an open mike for those who'd like to strut their stuff on stage with a PA;
*  a concert series featuring the Capital Region's many talented local bands;
*  a separate room for jamming.

Many of the top DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia bands have already been booked to headline at the Bluegrass Open Mikes, including Buck Stone and the Bucktones, Lonesome Pine, Bluegrass Camp, Rattlesnake Hill, Newgrass Effect, Durham Station, Gravel Road, King Street Bluegrass, Mountain Ride, Taste of Bluegrass, the Flower Hill String Band, the Tumbleweeds, and the Beltway Mountain Boys.  Applications for the coming year are now being accepted.

The Bluegrass Open Mikes promise to be a big success.  Don't miss out on the bandwagon.  Come on down to the American Legion Post 268 and find out what all the excitement is about!
