The only time I had a lengthy discussion with him was when I gave him the signed set list that I picked up from the first Seldom Scene reunion show at the State Theater. I figured he'd appreciate it, and he did. It was at the Darrell Scott show, as I recall.
I appreciate his attitude and willingness to try to make things better for the bluegrass community.
After I came to my senses, which admittedly took a while, I decided to get involved too.
Thanks Kip, for all that you started and the spirit that you engendered. It will endure.
