[YEP-DC] Job Posting: Experienced Middle School Reading Teacher

Imagine Hope Community Charter School - Tolson Campus seeks a strong Experienced Reading Teacher for Middle School  for the  remaining 2014 school year. We are seeking a teacher with at least 6 years or more teaching experience, with strong classroom discipline and proven results.  We will only except resumes from Experienced Reading Teachers.

We are seeking a teacher who shares our commitment to helping students achieve excellence in and out of the classroom.  Requirements
In accordance with the federal No Child Left Behind regulations, candidates must meet "highly qualified" teacher requirements before being hired for teaching positions.
in D.C. charter schools, this means at least a bachelor's degree and successful completion of the Praxis exam in the core subject area being taught. You must have taken the Praxis and received results before you apply.


KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS: 
Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
Ability to create a rigorous, well managed, risk-free, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes academic and social excellence for every student.
Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school based staff, students, parents and community.
 Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent human relations and customer service skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
