A study recent McKinsey Global Institute study found that using "open data" for education could "unlock" between $900 billion and $1.2 trillion in economic value every year.
Open data, the release of information that is already being collected by governments and private institutions, can help educators improve instruction and education technology companies enhance products in order to personalize learning for every student.
