NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools (NAPCS) Internship is a paid position responsible for helping with program coordination, federal policy research, event planning, and general administrative duties related to national advocacy. The intern must be willing to commit to between 12 and 20 hours per week; schedule flexible.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with logistical planning of meetings.
· Assist in the development and distribution of reports/materials/presentations related to federal policy.
· Compile state and congressional district level data and assist with developing materials for distribution.
· Monitor and review media reports as assigned.
· Assist with webinars, A/V production and web site distribution.
· Other duties, including administrative as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Desire to learn more about education reform and non-profit work
· Eager for opportunity to strengthen project management skills, program administration, publication development and writing, grant research and writing, public relations and outreach.
· Ability to interact cooperatively and effectively with a diverse staff and organizations.
· Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project a plus
· Excellent writing and presentation skills
· A positive, can-do attitude
· Well organized and self-motivated.
· Upper-level undergraduates or graduate students preferred
This is a paid internship, based on experience.
