Announcement: HACU National Internship Program seeks Spring 2013 Program Intern

About HACU

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) was established in 1986 with a founding membership of eighteen post-secondary institutions. Because of HACU's exemplary leadership on behalf of the nation's youngest and fastest-growing student population, the Association rapidly grew in numbers and national impact.

Today, HACU represents more than 400 colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher education success in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Although our member institutions in the U. S. represent less than 10% of all higher education institutions nationwide, together they serve more than two-thirds of all Hispanic college students. As the only national educational association that represents Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), HACU prides itself on championing the success of Hispanics in higher education through its research, advocacy, and programming.

The HACU National Internship Program

Over the past 20 years, the HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) has opened the doors of opportunity for thousands of emerging Hispanic leaders by placing undergraduate and graduate students in substantive internships within federal government agencies. In partnership with these agencies, HACU seeks to strengthen the pipeline of Hispanics entering public service and bring greater diversity to the federal government workforce. More details about HNIP can be found on our website: www.hacu.net/hnip.
