Hi Randy, Regina, and Mike,

 

My name is Dave Silverstein and I'm writing on behalf of the Vanderbilt University Alumni Association here in D.C. Next Monday we are throwing a holiday fundraiser for about 120 people. All proceeds and donations from the event will go to Park View Kids Zone's (PVKZ's) , a local charity that focuses on literacy. 

 

We just learned that the venue we booked has a stage and hook ups for live performance and I thought it would be great to have some solid bluegrass or acoustic country music for our particular audience, seeing as many of us are Tennesseans or are originally from the South.

I know it's last minute, but would you know of any local musicians or bands that would be willing to donate their time and music for a good cause?

 

The event will be at St. Arnold's Bar in Cleveland Park, NW and it starts at 5:30 PM and goes until 8:00 PM. Knowing the crowd I'm sure everyone would be very generous with tips and we'll have plenty of events in the future (large tailgates etc., gala events) we're we will be able to pay asking price. 

 

I understand this is a bit late in the game, but if this type of opportunity would be of interest to anyone you know please let me know.
