[YEP-DC] Tutoring at Center City PCS

Make a positive impact on a child in your city by becoming a reading or homework tutor.

Do you care about helping the next generation succeed in school and beyond?  Do you find yourself wishing you could do more to improve education for all children?   If so, we need your help! Center City Public Charter Schools is looking for committed volunteers for at least one hour every week to tutor our students!

We currently need volunteers to help with two programs starting in January until the end of the school year:

Reading Partners- Work with Reading Partners to help struggling readers.  Tutoring will be held at our Brightwood Campus (6008 Georgia Ave. NW) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 11 AM.  Tutors need to commit to tutor a minimum of 1 hour each week.  For more information visit: http://www.readingpartners.org/about-us

Extended Learning Program- Become a tutor to help students with homework after school or help with Learn-A-Thon, an interactive learning activity.  Volunteers are needed in the afternoons (around 4:15-6) at our different campuses.

If interested, please send your resume to Maureen Mulhern at mmulhern@centercitypcs.org.  In your e-mail, please state the position you are interested in.   We look forward to partnering with you!

Bonus: There is a stipend provided at the end of the school year.
