[YEP-DC] U.S. Department of Education Opportunity

The U.S. Department of Education's Office Safe and Healthy Schools (OSHS) within the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education will host a National Conference August 8-9, 2012. The theme of the conference is Meeting the Challenge:  Building and Sustaining Capacity to Improve Conditions for Learning.  The Conference will explore five prevailing and emerging issues that influence conditions for learning – school discipline; gender-based violence; behavioral health;  bullying; and school safety.  This conference will provide a unique opportunity for participants to provide feedback to Federal, nonprofit, and philanthropic agencies to help shape future work in these areas.

The event will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park located at 2600 Woodley Road NW, Washington, DC. Please mark this date on your calendar to attend this 2012 National Conference.  For more information and to register for the conference, please visit http://dgimeetings.cvent.com/OSDFS2012

Please let me know if you have any questions.
