Beverley Hills Church Preschool is a parent-run cooperative. We are a church-affiliated, non-sectarian community preschool. For over 70 years, Beverley Hills Church Preschool has offered a unique and innovative learning environment for young children, their families, and their teachers. Our Reggio-Emilia inspired program includes four morning classes and serves children ranging from 2.5 through 5 years of age. We are seeking Preschool Teachers to teach a 4-day class or 2-day class. The successful candidates will be passionate about teaching and learning in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities: Under the general supervision and guidance of the Preschool Director, the Teacher is responsible for collaboratively planning and implementing the program for their preschool classes in accordance with Beverley Hills Church Preschool's mission, vision and policies, the Creative Curriculum, and the school's Reggio inspired educational philosophy. The Teacher collaborates with the children, co-teacher, studio teacher, staff and families.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Experience as an early childhood teacher is desirable, though not required, as is knowledge and/or experience with the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy or progressive education in general.

We are seeking an Interim Director for four (4) to five (5) mornings (25 hours) per week. This position will be a part-time contract position for approximately six (6) to twelve (12) months and we are looking for someone who is passionate about education and eager to work closely with the BHCP community of staff, families, the Church, and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will embrace the qualities of progressive education and have experience supervising and administering a preschool program. The Interim Director must support the teachers and their practice/study of progressive education inspired by Reggio Emilia. He or she will also have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Beverley Hills Church Preschool Board of Directors, the Interim Director serves as the on-site administrator during the morning classes Monday thru Friday (8:30 AM – 1:30 PM). The Interim Director oversees a part-time office assistant and is responsible for the school's management. He or she acts as a liaison between staff, the Church and the Board—encouraging communication and mutual cooperation.
Qualifications:
The Interim Director must have:
1) A Bachelors degree; and
2) Administrative experience.
Candidates with experience in early childhood education are highly favored.
Compensation: This is a part-time contract position (25 hours per week) from August to January or June and no benefits are included. BHCP offers a unique, supportive work environment and community. The preschool is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
